ADD MARKERS WITH IMAGES*, POLY-LINES, AREA-MAP, GPS TRACKS*
EDITING INSTRUCTIONS
LOCATION & POSITIONING : The first step to add an insertion is to locate your position. If you are online, you may just left click on the “Show me where I am” icon on the bottom right edge of the map. It will take you to your current location in the map.
If you are offline, use the search option to locate yourself and then manually obtain accuracy by using the “Satellite” basemap layer from the top-right corner of the map.
INSERTION & MARKING : There are two types of insertion enabled in the survey map. To insert a Marker, get your location clearly visible and possibly centered in the map viewer. Left click on the “Place a Marker” icon fom the list of different insertion types from the bottom left section of the map. You can then drag and place the marker atop the location. Then click on the marker itself to access the Marker editing options. After done type a title for the marker and click Submit below the map.
The other type of insertions like Line, Polygon, Rectangle and Circle provides a crosshair tool, which you can use to draw these on the map. Once complete, again type in a Title for the map and press Submit under the map.
This map does not display the collection of insertions made by users. This map only caters the user for input of insertions one at a time.
